Professor Leng Hui, PhD in Applied Linguistics, is the Director of the Centre for Australian Studies at Liaoning Normal University. Over the past ten years, she has been trained overseas and gained full scholarships to do her masters at Singapore National University (from 1998 to 2000) and PhD at Edith Cowan University (2002-2005). As a member of the Academic Committee for the School of Foreign Languages, Liaoning Normal University, she functions as one of its leading researchers. She presented papers at international conferences in the United States, Britain, Australia, Malaysia, Beijing and Harbin, China. Her research interests include cultural linguistics, intercultural communication, cognitive linguistics and English language teaching.
